To increase brand awareness and user engagement on Mother’s Choice Malaysia social media pages during Chinese New Year.


Mother’s Choice social media pages has been around for some time, but user engagement was consistently low. We wanted to leverage on one of the most celebrated festive seasons to boost user engagement.


We ran a contest-based campaign from 13th Jan 2020 to 7th Feb 2020 for 4 weeks, with the theme of “My Perfect CNY. 4 animated videos were produced and posted weekly on Mother’s Choice Facebook page, where viewers can participate the contest to win prizes (electrical appliances and cash vouchers) worth of RM6,000. To enter the contest, the viewer had to follow Mother’s Choice Facebook page, watch the videos and guess what items were missing in the Chinese New Year preparations, and comment the answer along with a festive greeting. 6 lucky winners were selected weekly to bring home 1 grand prize (Panasonic Cubie Steam Oven) and 5 consolation prizes (RM50 Tesco Cash Voucher).
